SUMMARY

Restructured the checkout component into smaller modules, added retry logic for failed transactions, and updated error messages across 3 API routes.

DECISIONS

  • Split CheckoutForm into CartSummary, PaymentMethod, and ConfirmOrder components
  • Added exponential backoff for Stripe API retries (max 3 attempts)
  • Moved all error strings to a centralized constants file
